In this tutorial I am going to show you how to decrease or lose weight of an AutoCAD DWG file, I am going to show you three methods to reduce the weight of the AutoCAD file. The first one is about the AutoCAD file version, the second is with the functions PURGE and AUDIT, and the last one is related to the elements of your AutoCAD file.
The excessive weight of a DWG file can be caused by a large amount of data in a drawing that may be being used or not used, object types and complexity. It is possible that some drawings do not reduce their size much, while others may show a significant reduction.
